剧 情 介 绍 ：
清末民初，河北蔚县一支满载货物的骡队突遭“响马”打劫，货主被杀，货主外甥华惟臻负伤滞留在郭家镖局后，与郭家大小姐郭玉娴“冲喜”完婚,他凭着聪慧正直的秉性进入成记皮庄做了账房先生。华惟臻前往张家口经商后，与山西商界一霸恒泰永商号的少东家任伯驰结下仇怨，多亏德盛隆掌柜玉陇非鼎力相救，俩人义结金兰。
华惟臻多方开拓筹资渠道，办起一条龙作坊，苦心经营“成记皮庄张家口分号”，终于在商界站稳了脚跟。眼红华惟臻家产的任伯驰暗地勾结成记皮庄少东家挤兑华惟臻，致使华惟臻近乎破产。为求更大发展，华惟臻跟随商队远走库伦，历经千难万险，最终历练成为享誉河北商道的商界典范。功成名就后的华惟臻一心造福乡里，倾其家财修筑张库公路，由此，一代晋商的豪情壮举在河北大地传唱....
