剧情介绍：

　　上海市郊某小镇，天未亮，秀秀正在磨豆腐。忽然，外头传来几声枪响，一个受了伤的男人潜入店内。善良的秀秀救了叫石海生的男人，从此海生记住了这个女人。
　　“高记洋行”小开高启文被枪杀未遂、成了植物人的消息震惊商界。高父震怒，发誓务必抓到凶手。殊不知买凶杀人的就是女儿晓红的未婚夫刘家齐。家齐乃洋行职员，贪图富贵，虽已娶妻秀秀，谎称单身，被启文识破，以致招来杀身之祸。
　　家齐怕秀秀坏了他的好事，不惜诈死，被海生识破，进而发现家齐就是秀秀的丈夫。为了报恩，海生不惜背叛黑帮，几次三番出手相助的同时，默默爱上了秀秀。
　　家齐一不作、二不休，诬陷海生入狱，并将秀秀推入江中。秀秀命大，被高家商场宿敌康铁祥刚救起，在康铁祥的协助下，家齐现出原形，遭到惩罚。秀秀、海生展开新的人生。
